Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of compfinder.app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington.
For users outside the United States, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Spokane County, Washington for the purpose of litigating any claims or disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.
8.1 Dispute Resolution
Before filing a claim against compfinder.app or Spotlight Technologies, LLC, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at info@compfinder.app. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, either party may initiate formal proceedings. Nothing in this section prohibits you from bringing your dispute to the attention of any federal, state, or local government agencies that can, if the law allows, seek relief from us on your behalf.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Terms will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Terms.
10. Terms for your money-back policy:
10.1. Eligibility:
- The policy applies only to paid, subscriptions or one-time use fees.
- Users must have submitted their appeal using CompFinder.app's generated comparable properties and analyses.
- The appeal must be for the specified tax year's assessment.
10.2. Proof of Appeal:
- Customers must provide documentation proving they submitted an appeal using CompFinder.app's data.
- This documentation should include a copy of the official appeal submission and a statement showing how CompFinder.app's comparables were used.
10.3. Outcome Verification:
- Customers must provide the official decision from the tax authority.
- The decision must be a final ruling, not an intermediate step in the appeal process.
10.4. Refund Conditions:
- A refund will be issued only if the assessment is not lowered at all.
- Partial reductions in assessment do not qualify for a refund.
10.5. Time Limit:
- Customers must request a refund within 60 days of receiving the final decision from the tax authority.
- Refund requests submitted after this period will not be honored.
10.6. Usage Restrictions:
- The guarantee is limited to one property per customer per tax year.
- Customers who have successfully used the service (resulting in a lowered assessment) are not eligible for refunds.
10.7. Refund Process:
- Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving all required documentation.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
10.8. Exclusions:
- The guarantee does not apply if the customer's property has undergone significant changes or improvements since the last assessment.
- Properties in areas undergoing mass reappraisal or using new assessment methodologies are not eligible.
10.9. Compliance Requirement:
- Customers must have followed all local regulations and procedures for tax appeals.
- Any misrepresentation of information provided to CompFinder.app voids the guarantee.
10.10. Limited Liability:
* The refund is limited to the amount paid for the CompFinder.app service.
* CompFinder.app is not liable for any additional costs incurred during the appeal process.
10.11. Policy Changes:
* CompFinder.app reserves the right to modify or discontinue this policy at any time.
* Any changes will not affect guarantees already in effect.
